Ken Jones was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989 and has pursued a career spanning a broad range of litigious matters. He has appeared as trial and appellate counsel at all levels of court in Ontario and at the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as , and before various administrative tribunals, including the Discipline Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Investment Dealers' Association, Market Regulation Services, the Ontario Securities Commission and the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors. Ken has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of cases, including professional negligence and insurance actions, oppression remedy and shareholder dispute cases, contract disputes, real estate litigation, wrongful dismissal and employment related proceedings, and other commercial litigation. In addition, he has appeared as counsel before Commissions of Inquiry and has served as both prosecuting and defending counsel in various regulatory matters under such legislation as the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act and the Environmental Standards Act. Mr. Jones has served as an Instructor for the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course in both the Civil Litigation and Public Law sections. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario) and the Toronto Lawyers Association. |
